Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles is with Triple-A Tacoma as he rehabs from injury.
That journey back to the big leagues took a drastic, crazy turn on Sunday.
Robles was hit by a pitch, except it was so far up and in, he took a swing to try and protect himself. So he wouldn't even get first base.
And he was very much not happy.
He headed toward the mound, throwing his bat that way in the process. And as people tried to hold Robles back, he kept trying to make it out to the pitcher.

This doesn't seem like something that will go unpunished.
The Mariners have loaded up their lineup since the time Robles went down, so it may not be crucial to have him back right away.
But he's at the least a very good depth piece with speed who can play defense.

This was just an absolutely appalling moment from Robles, though, who simply lost control in the frustrating sequence captured on video.
Whatever happens next, Robles will have a tough time escaping this moment. Throwing a bat toward a pitcher the way he did is incredibly rare and rather scary.
Some kind of punishment must be coming down the pipe for Robles.
