Giants' Rafael Devers hit an impossible pitch with a wild swing for a home run image

Very few hitters on the planet could do what Rafael Devers did on Wednesday afternoon in Atlanta.

He reached down for a pitch basically in the dirt, swung with pretty much one hand, and somehow launched a home run to right field anyway.

Words don't do it justice. Watch this:

The exit velocity there was just 92.5 miles per hour. It's the slowest hit for a home run of Devers' career.

He's heating up, though. He had two hits Tuesday night in his MLB debut as a first baseman.

On Wednesday, Devers was back in the DH spot, but it wasn't slowing his bat down.

In his first-inning at bat against Spencer Strider on Wednesday, Devers smacked a line drive single into right at 114.2 miles per hour.

This is the Devers that San Francisco traded for. The Giants may finally start reaping the rewards of that shocking trade with the Red Sox.
