The Philadelphia Phillies made a small trade with the Detroit Tigers on Saturday.

They sent out cash considerations, and in return received outfielder Brewer Hicklen.

Hicklen is a speedster who for now has been assigned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

So far this season at Triple-A Toledo, Hicklen has stolen 18 bases in 19 attempts.

He appeared in just one game for Detroit, going 2-for-3 with a steal.

Hicklen has also appeared in MLB action in the past for the Royals and Brewers.

The 29-year old outfielder was originally a seventh-round MLB Draft pick by the Royals in 2017 out of Alabama-Birmingham.

He is an MLB-level centerfielder, which could help the Phillies in a pinch down the stretch of the season. He doesn't solve all their woes at that position, but he adds depth as the trade deadline approaches.
