The Philadelphia Phillies have struggled a little bit in recent weeks. They snapped a five-game losing streak on Monday night but have lost ground in the National League East.

They fortunately currently still possess the third Wild Card spot, but there are areas of the roster that need work if they want to make a run.

One area in particular that could use some work is the outfield. Brandon Marsh, while still a threat at the plate, hasn't exactly panned out as their starting center fielder.

Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report notes that Philadelphia could potentially look into Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins.

"If Mullins comes back and looks like the All-Star who had a 30/30 campaign in 2021, though, that's a drastically different story. With a pro-rated salary of slightly less than $3 million for the final two months of the season, he could well become the most coveted rental on this year's trade block—especially with the Mets, Phillies, Guardians and perhaps a few others interested in adding a center fielder this summer," Miller wrote.

Mullins has struggled a bit at the plate. Despite having hit 10 home runs, stolen eight bases and driven in 31 runs, he is hitting .227/.318/.438 in 185 at-bats.

Still, the Orioles are well out of contention and likely won't be making any moves to improve their club at the deadline. So, it would make sense for them to trade Mullins.

Perhaps going to a winning environment like Philadelphia could help him regain his All-Star form. The Phillies need outfield help, and Mullins could be exactly what they're looking for.

We'll see if they give Baltimore a call at the trade deadline about Mullins' services.
