But in a significantly more Herculean effort Sunday, in the second inning of Game 5 of the 2019 Fall Classic, this bro added to the lore of zany October moments to which baseball is no stranger.
As a home run off the bat of Yordan Alvarez approached, this guy tried catching the ball with his beefy, masculine chest — and he didn't drop his beers.
The ball surely didn't leave a mark on this legend even though Alvarez scorched it at better than 100 mph off the bat.
But really, couldn't a dude get someone to hold his beer for a quick second? That home run ball might be worth something some day. Shout out to him, since he probably spent $1,000 on his ticket and another $2,000 on beers; clearly, the value of a mere home run ball couldn't match up.
Of course, Twitter noticed and adopted him as its new deity of hops.
That guy really took that ball like a champ. It's something we probably haven't seen before.
Well, on second thought, Happy Gilmore accomplished that feat no more than an hour ago .
