Aaron Judge keeps homering, and in the process, he keeps making history.
His latest climb up the New York Yankees' record books sees him pass Mickey Mantle in a record for which he now stands tied atop the board with Joe DiMaggio.
This mark has to do with Judge reaching 25 home runs for the season by going deep a couple nights in a row in Kansas City.
This is now the eighth season for Judge reaching 25 HRs out of his first 10 MLB seasons.
Only one other Yankees player has ever gone 8-for-10 on 25 homers in a season to start their career, DiMaggio.
Mantle did it seven times. Lou Gehrig did it six. The stat comes via this great stats account on X:

It's worth noting that Judge probably would be the outright record holder in the 25-homer statistic if not for the COVID-shortened 2020 season that was only 60 games.
But you can't rewrite that history. All Judge can do is keep making new history of his own.
