Anthony Volpe didn't quite heed that principle on Saturday evening.

When Judge was running off the field between innings, Volpe tossed a baseball his way. Judge didn't see it coming, and it bonked him right in the head.

To be fair to Volpe, players do this after pretty much every defensive inning. It's not clear what may have distracted Judge this time.
