Aaron Civale wanted a trade out of Milwaukee.
The Brewers fulfilled his request in a way that must be hilarious to everyone besides Civale.
You don't want to pitch out of the bullpen? Fine, pitch for the worst team in the American League.
Civale is going to be a Chicago White Sox pitcher.
MLB insider Jon Heyman was first on the news on X on Friday morning.
Civale is 30 years old and has only been with the Brewers for two half-seasons before this latest trade, having moved at last year's trade deadline from Tampa Bay.
This season, Civale had a 4.91 ERA in five starts before the news that he'd be moving to the bullpen.

Maybe he's still got a bit left in the tank, but it'll be tough for it to matter in Chicago.
The White Sox are 23-46 at the time of the deal, and that's progress. They had the worst record in MLB history last season, but at least they're on pace to beat that.
Chicago probably figured it couldn't hurt to add an innings-eating veteran like Civale.
He'll get to start, but it might not be how Civale envisioned it.
