Terry Francona is a legend.
And yeah, feel free to call him Tito.
Francona returned to managing this season, and on Sunday, his Cincinnati Reds picked up a 4-2 win over the Colorado Rockies.
It was historic: It was the 2000th career win as a manager for Francona. He’s the 13th manager in MLB history to reach that milestone.
He is now 2000-1719 in his managerial career.

Francona began his career in the dugout with four Phillies seasons that included 285 wins.
Then it was on to the Red Sox, where he spent eight years and won 744 games.
After that, Tito went to Cleveland for 11 years and got 921 wins.
He’s now up to 50 wins in his first year in Cincinnati.
Francona’s crowning achievement is the World Series title in 2004, ending the Boston curse. He won another with the Red Sox, and nearly got it done in Cleveland in 2016, just coming up short in Game 7 to the Cubs.
Francona isn’t done yet, but he’s now in an exclusive group in MLB history.
