There isn't much better catching company to keep than Buster Posey.

That's the realm that Chicago White Sox rookie Kyle Teel found himself in on Saturday.

Teel caught a one-hitter for the White Sox against the Angels. He also drove in the game's only run.

He's the first catcher to complete that combination since Posey did it for the Giants in 2014, per OptaStats.

Teel's performance continued a great stretch of ball for the White Sox.

The lone run came in the top of the second inning. Luis Robert Jr. was on third base with one out, and Teel lined a single to center to bring him home.

The rest of Teel's work on the night came behind the dish.

Aaron Civale started for the White Sox. He went 6.1 innings, walking two batters and allowing the lone hit, a single to Zach Neto leading off the bottom of the fourth inning. Civale struck out eight.

Then the ball went to the big lefty Brandon Eisert, who tossed 1.2 perfect innings, striking out one. It was his fifth hold of the season.

The ninth was taken by 6-foot-3 righty Jordan Leasure. He got a 1-2-3 frame, and that was that, his third save of the season.

All told, White Sox pitchers allowed one hit, walked two and struck out nine as Teel handled business as the catcher for the entire contest.

Teel also had a walk at the plate while going 1-for-3, raising his season average to .278 and his OPS to .775.

Not a bad night at the office for a catcher, to be sure.
