The Boston Red Sox have a chance soon to really annoy their fan base.
It involves Roman Anthony, the No. 1 prospect in baseball who finally made his MLB debut this week.
WEEI's Rob Bradford broke it down on Thursday in a local radio appearance. There's a real chance, Bradford suggests, that Anthony gets sent back down.
"All of this Roman Anthony hype... It could all come to a screeching halt here in a couple of days," Bradford said.

The logic checks out, at least so far as projecting what the Red Sox might be thinking.
Before Wilyer Abreu got hurt, Boston had deemed it didn't have a spot for Anthony in an outfield also including Jarren Duran and Ceddanne Rafaela.
When Abreu is back, if he's to reclaim his starting spot, the Red Sox will face the same problem.
There's a clear argument to be made that now that Anthony is in the majors, he should stay and get to spread his wings. That's one most Red Sox fans would get behind.
But there's some reason Boston didn't bring him up earlier, and if the Red Sox leadership is still feeling at least somewhat the way it did before Abreu's injury, maybe they'll follow suit and demote Anthony.
Baseball is better with Anthony in the big leagues, but the Red Sox could really tick everyone off by reversing course.
