Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns is expected to be sidelined for several games with a dislocated left wrist, the team announced.

Towns suffered the injury in the Timberwolves' 116-111 win over the Utah Jazz on Saturday after falling awkwardly during the fourth quarter.

He was evaluated by a hand specialist in Los Angeles and while he won't require surgery, he will be 'further evaluated weekly as he undergoes treatment to return to play.'

Towns suffered a fracture in the same wrist last season, which forced him to miss the final 12 games of the season, but according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, this injury is in a different spot.

The 25-year-old has started the season in great form for the 2-0 Timberwolves, averaging  22.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, and five assists.
