The Players Championship celebrates its 50th year in 2024.

Scottie Scheffler returns TPC Sawgrass to defend his Players Championship on the heels of a win in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Scheffler, who shot -17 in 2023, looks to become the first back-to-back winner at the Players.

He won't be the only former champion in the 144-golfer field. Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Webb Simpson, Si-Woo Kim, Rickie Fowler and Matt Kuchar are all former winners who will also compete in the Players.

One surprising omission is Tiger Woods, who's won the Players twice during his illustrious career.

Scheffler and McIlroy are the favorites to win this weekend, but there are a few emerging golfers who competed well recently at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Wyndham Clark, Shane Lowry, Will Zalatoris and Russell Henley all finished behind Scheffler and get another chance to break out on the Tour this year.

Here's everything you need to know about the 2024 Players Championship, including tee times, TV channel, live stream and more.
