Fantasy Football QB rankings: Best quarterbacks for 2025 drafts
As has been the case in recent years, the quarterbacks who can also provide significant rushing statistics are pushed up into Tier 1: the Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen, the Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson, 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year and Washington Commanders breakout Jayden Daniels, and defending Super Bowl champion Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles.
The run on these top names usually starts around Pick 23 or 24 overall (end of Round 2) with either Allen or Jackson. (Just like the NFL MVP vote last year, it could go either way.) That might be too rich in your run-of-the-mill league that doesn't reward attacking the position early, but your leaguemates might chase them.
In your average 1QB fantasy football league plan, however, missing out on one of those quarterbacks should direct drafters to locate value several rounds later instead of pushing up riskier names who may not have the same impact with their legs.

Best superflex/2QB fantasy draft strategy
In superflex/2QB leagues, aim to draft at least 3 quarterbacks, including two within the first four rounds.
Depending on your superflex/2QB league's other scoring settings, you can gauge which positions besides quarterback you will need to target first.
Still, superflex fantasy managers should lock down their first two options early to leave room for the much more manageable player pools at other positions later on.
Superflex/2QB have done wonders to resuscitate the declining fantasy value overall of the quarterback position. Consistently using two quarterbacks at the required QB and the optional superflex spot (QB/RB/WR/TE) instantly gives those managers a consistently weekly floor at the easiest position to earn fantasy points.
Therefore, even if you draft a Tier 1 option (Allen/Jackson/Daniels/Hurts), you can probably net at least another top-20 name (Trevor Lawrence, J.J. McCarthy, Tua Tagovailoa) and perhaps back that up with an upside QB2/QB3 to stash (Bryce Young, Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart, Jalen Milroe).
