The reigning 2025 PDC Darts World Champion, Luke Littler, will be back in action this weekend for the 2025 World Matchplay of Darts.
When does Luke Littler play at the 2025 World Matchplay of Darts?
Littler hasn't been playing in as many tournaments on the ProTour recently (European Tour events and Players Championship events).
He will be back playing at the World Matchplay, which is one of the biggest tournaments of the year outside of the World Championship at the end of the year.

Littler's round of 32 (first round) game is against England's Ryan Searle, the current world number 20.
The two will face off Sunday night, on July 20, at 9:15 p.m. local time in Blackpool.
Their first round game is played to best-of-19 legs, which is first to 10 (must win by 2 clear legs).
Searle is a former quarter-finalist in 2023 at the World Matchplay.

Littler made his debut at the tournament in 2024, but since he was unseeded, he had to face Michael van Gerwen in the first round after an unlucky draw.
MVG ended up eliminating Littler in the first round, meaning Littler still is winless on the World Matchplay stage.
Littler did get his revenge against the 2024 World Matchplay runner-up, beating MVG at the 2025 PDC WC final.
If Littler beats Searle, he would face the winner of the matchup between Jermaine Wattimena and Peter Wright.
