Luke Littler is among several high profile omissions from the player entries for European Tour Events 7-8 have been confirmed ahead of next week’s Tour Card Holder Qualifiers in Hildesheim.
The Dutch Darts Championship (ET7) will be held at the Autotron in Rosmalen from May 23-25, while the European Darts Open (ET8) takes place in Leverkusen from May 30-June 1.
Several other seeded stars are playing only one of the two events. Nathan Aspinall (7), Gerwyn Price and Josh Rock (8) both opted to single out their efforts. Ryan Joyce and Niels Zonneveld take their places in both events with Ricardo Pietreczko playing in European Tour 8 in his home nation.
European Tour events will now see 16 seeds from the PDC Order of Merit exempt to the last 32 for each tournament, with the first round seeing 16 ProTour Order of Merit qualifiers drawn against the other 16 qualifiers.
Ten players will come through each Tour Card Holder Qualifier, while the 48-player fields on the European Tour will feature four Host Nation Qualifiers, a Nordic & Baltic Qualifier and an East Europe Qualifier.
