Bill Belichick is used to winning.
But on Sunday, his 24-year old girlfriend Jordon Hudson didn't pull off a victory.
Instead, at the Miss Maine USA pageant, Hudson earned "second runner-up" honors. (That's a nice way of saying she finished third).
Belichick, 73, was in attendance both days of the competition to support Hudson.
Hudson did win one individual category, the "style" award during Saturday's preliminaries.
A year after finishing in second place at the same event, Hudson had to first qualify for the top-10, then the top-5, before eventually falling short of the crown.

Belichick and Hudson have been in the news plenty of late.
Most of it has had to do with Hudson involving herself in Belichick's work as North Carolina's head football coach.
This time around, Belichick just got to spectate as his girlfriend took part in a competition of her own.
But in the end, there weren't any rings being won, a different outcome than Belichick may have been hoping for.
