Report: Cleveland Cavaliers looking to trade Andre Drummond; Toronto Raptors engaged in active talks image

Andre Drummond's time with the Cleveland Cavaliers appears to be coming to an end.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst, the Cavaliers are "no longer planning to play" Drummond as they work to move him ahead of the trade deadline on March 25.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Toronto Raptors and Cavaliers have "engaged in active talks" on a potential deal for Drummond, although Wojnarowski added that there are " no serious, ongoing trade discussions with any team now."

Drummond has appeared in 25 games with the Cavaliers this season, posting averages of 17.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocks.

According to Wojnarowski, the Cavaliers are moving to make Jarrett Allen, whom the team acquired from the Brooklyn Nets last month, the long-term starting centre and believe it would be unfair to Drummond to limit his minutes.

Drummond will be an unrestricted free agent at the season's end, with this being the last year of his contract.
