Canada Basketball on Friday announced its roster for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup for the country's 14th appearance in the international tournament.
Twelve players were ultimately selected from a 19-man training camp roster. The final group Canda will take on the world with starting Sept. 1 against Australia is headlined by NBA players Cory Joseph (Kings) and Khem Birch (Magic), as well as guards Andrew Nembhard (Florida) and Kevin Pangos (FC Barcelona).
“Playing for your country is one of the greatest honours in sport and the players are fully committed to giving everything they have for Canada,” Canada head coach Nick Nurse said in a statement. “I’m proud of the group of players we’ve selected to represent Canada at the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup.”

This year will be Canada's first appearance in the tournament since 2010. Nurse's squad will play in Group H during the tournament and will face Australia (September 1, 3:30 AM ET), Lithuania (September 3, 7:30 AM ET) and Senegal (September 5, 3:30 AM ET) in round one.
