The latest edition of the Commonwealth Games takes place from April 4-15 in Australia, with Canada entering a team for the 21st time. Led by chef de mission Claire Carver-Dias, the Canadians will look to improve on their third-place finish in the medal count from the 2014 Commonwealth Games. With diver Meaghan Benfeito serving as the flag-bearer for Canada's contingent, hundreds of present and future stars will don the Maple Leaf in hopes of reaching the podium.

Commentators
Three-time Olympian, Michael Smith (Decathlon) and two-time Olympian, Perdita Felicien (Athletics) will join veteran broadcaster, Mark Lee in presenting daily updates and commentary on the athlete stories coming out of the Gold Coast. DAZN’s daily live show, “GAMES LIVE” (5 a.m. – 9 a.m. EST) will provide commentary on the major events for the next two weeks of competition.

Men's basketball
Canada clinched its berth in the gold medal final by the most dramatic means possible. Mamadou Gueye hit a buzzer-beater from long distance to give the Canadians an 88-86 win in the semifinal over New Zealand, setting up a championship contest against host nation Australia.

Women's rugby sevens
Canada women's rugby sevens faces Australia in the semifinals. Canada went 2-1 in the pool round, while the Aussies have yet to taste defeat.
Marathon
Canada has a pair of competitors in each of the men's and women's T54 marathon final. Alexandre Dupont and Diane Roy are Canada's best medal threats.
