People were wondering what happened with former WWE star Alberto Del Rio — real name Jose Rodriguez and now going by Alberto el Patron — after missing a show on Sunday for the Mexico-based AAA promotion.
Some thought maybe he was simply standing up the promotion or had a less than good excuse for missing the date.

On Monday night, Rodriguez took to social media to explain that he missed his flight and the show after being stabbed outside of a restaurant along with a picture of his injuries.
Rodriguez says that his injuries won't prevent him from missing upcoming dates. Meanwhile, AAA put out a statement wishing him a speedy recovery.
