The Dakar – arguably the most famous rally raid in the world – will be the subject of a new feature documentary.
Dakar: Race Against The Desert dives into the gruelling and dramatic nature of the 47-year-old event.
Covering various categories including bikes, cars and trucks, among others, the Universal Pictures film provides unprecedented access into exactly what it takes to compete in brutal, sandy landscapes.
Filmed over 18 months, it focuses on the 2023 edition of the race, which took place in Saudi Arabia.

The Red Bull Studios and The Red Ceiling Production utilises a combination of drones, in-car cameras and on-site crews to bring fans behind the scenes of a fortnight of motorsport like no other.
Australia's own Toby Price is one of several competitors highlighted in the film.
The Hillston-born talent is notably a two-time winner of the Dakar, taking out the Bikes class in 2016 and 2019.
Carlos Sainz Sr, father of Formula 1 star Carlos Sainz Jr, is also featured, along with reigning champion Nasser Al-Attiyah, Sébastien Loeb and Stéphane Peterhansel.

Directed by Jalil Lespert, the 90-minute film is one that will appeal to Dakar diehards, motorsport newbies and sports fans alike.
