The World Tennis League 2024 is underway in Abu Dhabi featuring some of the world's best players in a unique, exciting format.

Featuring the likes of Swiatek, Sabalenka, Tsitsipas and Kyrgios, the exhibition event is held from December 19-22.

Players are divided into four teams, who playoff in a round-robin format to decide two finalists and an eventual winner.

 World Tennis League 2024 format explained

  • Round robin format
  • Each tie features four sets - men's singles, women's singles and two doubles matches of men's, women's or mixed (decided by a coin toss)
  • One point is scored for each game won in a tie
  • If the team that wins the fourth set is trailing, the match goes to overtime
  • If the leading team wins one game in overtime, it clinches the match tie
  • If the tie score becomes equal, a first to 10 super shootout tiebreak is played with winner getting a point plus two bonus points
  • The top two teams after the round-robin will play in the final
