Notably absent from the French Open this year, Roger Federer hasn't played professionally since April when he claimed the Miami Open.

The now 35-year-old has stressed the need for a more conservative schedule as he looks to prolong his illustrious career and that's seen him opt out of the clay-court season altogether.

Focused instead on preparing for grass-court events, Federer will return to competition at the Stuttgart Open when it gets underway on June 14.

Yet to win the title after losing in the semi-finals last year, the Swiss star will no doubt be desperate to add another title to his name with Wimbledon on the horizon.

After a nearly two month break and an already very successful 2017, Federer could well be ready to fire his way to a 19th grand slam.
