Sixteen Australians entered the French Open main draw this year.

No. 9 seed Alex de Minaur was set to lead the charge on the men's side after reaching the quarter-final at the event last year, but suffered a shock second-round loss. Alexei Popyrin was the most successful Aussie male, bowing out in the Round of 16.

In the women's draw, No. 17 seed Daria Kasatkina also reached the last 16 in her first slam representing her new country.
