The Crusaders are set to face the Chiefs in the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific Grand Final at Apollo Projects Stadium in Christchurch.

After a disappointing ninth-place finish in 2024, the Crusaders have pulled off one of the greatest turnarounds in Super Rugby history. They ended the regular season in second place after 16 matches and secured their spot in the decider with playoff victories over the Reds and Blues.

The Chiefs, who topped the ladder at the end of the regular season, stumbled in their Qualifying Final against the Blues but capitalised on their second chance, overcoming the ACT Brumbies to book a place in their fifth Grand Final.

The Crusaders edged out the Chiefs 25–20 in the 2023 Grand Final, played in front of a full house at FMG Stadium Waikato.

Including their two Super Rugby Aotearoa titles, the Crusaders have now claimed 12 Super Rugby championships. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are aiming to lift their first Super Rugby trophy since their consecutive wins in 2012 and 2013, after falling short in the last two Super Rugby Pacific Grand Finals.
