The Australian squad for the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup has been named, with coach Jo Yapp confirming the 32-member Wallaroos touring party.
The squad features one uncapped player, Caitlin Urwin, as well as a two teenagers on the rise, with the 17-year-old Waiaria Ellis, and Caitlyn Halse, 18, also included.
An Olympic gold medallist with the Rugby 7s team in Rio, Charlotte Caslick was set to be in the squad but has been withdrawn due to an ankle injury, with Manu'a Moleka named as her replacement.
"We are very proud of the squad and the journey the players and staff have been on for the past two years to get to this point," Yapp said.
"We have a very special group of people within this squad, diverse in culture and a range of ages and levels of experience in the game.
"A World Cup is the pinnacle event in sport and women’s rugby will showcase that in England later this month.
"We are ready to perform on the global stage and thank everyone who is supporting us on and off the field.”
The Wallaroos get their campaign underway against Samoa at Salford City Stadium on Saturday, August 23, before pool matches against USA and hosts England.
Having suffered a shock defeat to Wales last week, Australia got their preparations back on track with a 36-5 win over their Welsh counterparts on Friday.
England are the hot favourites to lift the trophy, while the Aussies are looking to improve on their all-time best result of a third-placed finish.
