Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has been a standout for the Dolphins since moving to the NRL's newest club, but the 22-year-old has been absent for the past month with a hamstring injury.

'The Hammer' was injured while chasing Broncos winger Corey Oates on a dead play in a Dolphins defeat in early April.

The Sporting News takes a look at the fullback’s status for Magic Round.

Will 'The Hammer' play against the Eels?

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has been named to return to the NRL this week against Wests Tigers.

His inclusion has bumped Trai Fuller – who performed well as his replacement – to 18th man.

It is a timely return for 'The Hammer', who will be hoping to earn a spot in Billy Slater's Queensland team for Origin.
