Nick Tsougranis is set to debut for the Dragons at Shark Park on Thursday night.

After initially being named in the reserves, the 20-year-old has been called up by coach Shane Flanagan for the Round 15 clash.

He will line up in the centres alongside speedy winger Tyrell Sloan.

A St George local, Tsougranis has progressed through the Dragons' ranks since joining the club as a junior.

"I’m a St George junior through and through," Tsougranis told Dragons.com.au in February.

"I was born at St George Hospital. I played all my junior footy at the Arncliffe Scots. My dad’s a Dragons tragic, so I had no choice."

He started in the development system before playing in the Harold Matthews Cup and SG Ball competitions.

Notably, he was named captain for both teams.

Promotions to the Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup set-ups followed.

Tsougranis first trained with the NRL squad in the 2024 preseason, but subsequent back, hand and calf injuries limited his opportunities.

Now, back to full fitness, he has earned a first-grade debut.

He has made 11 appearances in the NSW Cup this season, scoring five tries, averaging 111 run metres and recording a 91.2 per cent tackle efficiency.
