The third and final game of this year's State of Origin series is in the books with Queensland emerging victorious in Sydney. 

The Blues were the heavily-fancied favourites to retain the shield this year and got off to an impressive start in the opening game.

However, the Maroons bounced back against-the-odds to record a stunning reversal as they wrestled the shield back.

Who won’t back up after State of Origin 2025 Game III? 

Latrell Mitchell will be able to put his feet up and rest after the decider as South Sydney are on the bye this weekend. 

Canberra pair Hudson Young and Josh Papalii are also in the same boat as they return to the nation's capital to recuperate. 

Meanwhile, Xavier Coates is the only player to not be named by his club coach in his team's squad for Round 19.

Kurt Capewell didn't back up after Game II in Perth as the travel from Western Australia to New Zealand was deemed too much of an ask against Penrith. Andrew Webster revealed he would rest the veteran again for this one. 

Jarome Luai played on a two day turnaround after Game II and will feature for the Tigers after the decider on an extended turnaround.

Zac Lomax backed up after the first two Origin matches and will make it three in a row for this one. 

Ivan Cleary opted to rest all of his Origin stars for their trip to New Zealand after Game II but they were all included in the extended squad this time. 

Liam Martin was then ruled out after picking up a hand injury during the first half of the decider. Dylan Edwards and Brian To'o were also rested for the clash. 

However, in better news, Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo will back up after Game III, with the former being utilised off the bench. 

Gold Coast Titans vs. Brisbane Broncos (Sunday, July 13 at 6:15pm AEST)

Tino Fa'asuamaleaui was named on the bench after Game II by Des Hasler but was named to start after the decider. However, in a late change, Tino has since been dropped to the pine. 

Payne Haas was under an injury cloud throughout the Blues' camp and will not be risked in this one despite initially being named to start.
