Exciting Wests Tigers hooker, Tallyn Da Silva, has been given permission to negotiate with rival clubs, despite being contracted until the end of the 2026 NRL season.
Firmly stuck behind incumbent Tigers hooker and club captain Api Koroisau, Da Silva was set to hit the open market on November 1, but is now free to pursue other opportunities immediately.
Should he depart before the June 30 transfer deadline, Da Silva will become the second young Tigers star to leave this season, following Lachlan Galvin’s tumultuous move to the Bulldogs.
The Newcastle Knights are said to have interest in Da Silva, with CODE Sports outlining a potential loan move for the remainder of the 2025 season.

A swap deal has also reportedly been explored between Newcastle and the Tigers, involving Da Silva and Knights second-rower Kai Pearce-Paul who is already set to join the Tigers in 2026.
The North Queensland Cowboys are another potential landing spot for Da Silva, given the club’s current number nine, NSW Origin rake Reece Robson, will be joining the Sydney Roosters on a four-year deal from 2026.
Two more teams, the Parramatta Eels and Manly Sea Eagles, are also said to have shown interest according to The Daily Telegraph.
Explaining the club’s decision on Da Silva last week, Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson suggested there was still a chance the 20-year-old may remain at Concord.
“Just because you give permission to negotiate doesn’t mean you have to accept it,” Richardson said.
“We’re trying to do everything we can to keep Tallyn in our system, but obviously he wants to play first grade and we don’t blame him. We’ll see how it unfolds.”
A Campbelltown junior who won a premiership with the Wests Magpies Harold Matthews team in 2022, Da Silva has played 21 first-grade games for the Tigers since debuting in Round 16, 2023.
