Two in-form sides, the New Zealand Warriors and the North Queensland Cowboys, face off in Round 9 during the Magic Round of the 2025 NRL season.

There is plenty of rugby action this week - nine matches, including the Women's State of Origin clash and eight NRL Magic Round games, are scheduled across four days at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

The Warriors are fourth in the season with a 5-2 record, winning all their past five matches. They are full of confidence and come into this clash after last week's 26-12 win over the Knights.

Another win during the Magic Round will see them match their best start to a season. However, history is not on their side at the Suncorp - having lost six of their past seven games at the Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are 4-3 in the season and are sixth on the ladder. After beginning with a 0-3 record, they have now bounced back with four straight wins.

In their latest win, the Cowboys thumped the Gold Coast Titans in the 50-18 comeback win at Townsville, ran in seven tries in 33 minutes and put on 38 points in the second half.

They will also be looking to extend their Magic Round streak to four consecutive wins when they face the Warriors in Brisbane.

The Sporting News is on hand to bring you all the latest TV, scheduling and live streaming information ahead of this match.
