Sua Fa'alogo's season could be over after scans confirmed a high-grade hamstring injury for the Melbourne Storm flyer.
Filling in at fullback after Ryan Papenhuyzen was put on ice early in Sunday's 30-6 win over the Sharks, Fa'alogo made a break down the left and looked set to streak away for a try in the dying minutes of the game.
A last-ditch ankle tap attempt by Addin Fonua-Blake did just enough to upset Fa'alogo's balance and a slight overstride proved costly, seeing him go down clutching the back of his leg.

He was eventually helped from the field but, based on his reaction, the news wasn't good.
On Monday, scans confirmed as much, with Fa'alogo looking at 8-12 weeks on the sidelines.
"Sua will commence his rehab program this week, working closely with the club’s medical and high-performance staff, with the aim of returning at the back end of the season," a Storm statement read.
With 10 rounds left in the regular season, Fa'alogo will be hoping his teammates can make a run in the finals, giving him a chance to return to action this year.
With Will Warbrick, Jack Howarth, Moses Leo, Dean Ieremia and Marion Seve all unavailable, Fa'alogo's injury will give Craig Bellamy yet another headache in the outside backs.
