State of Origin is heading to a dramatic conclusion.
Queensland brushed aside their underdog tag in Perth to level the series and send us to a decider in Sydney.
Will New South Wales make their home ground advantage count, or will their interstate rivals snatch victory on hostile territory?
Below are The Sporting News' predictions and best bets for Game III – all odds per bookmaker Sportsbet.

Queenslander sentiment not enough to overcome skill gap
- Chris Danks
In what will be an emotion-charged Game III for Queensland, expect early fireworks to dissipate before the first interchange - and potentially reignite when Spencer Leniu charges on.
The Blues will rue their Game II horror show - even with an unlikely upset almost within their grasp - and with a settled camp for the decider, should have enough class to outpace Queensland.
Assuming Payne Haas and Co. will continue to lay a platform for Nathan Cleary, the Blues have too much firepower in their backline in one-on-one situations to look past them.
BEST BET: Brian To'o and Latrell Mitchell to combine for 2+ tries ($2.20)
VALUE BET: New South Wales 31+ / Queensland 11 to 20 Team Score Double ($6.00)
SAME GAME MULTI: Brian To'o, Zac Lomax, Latrell Mitchell and Hudson Young anytime try scorers / New South Wales H2H ($29.75)
Blues to learn from Perth and retain the shield
- Joshua Mayne
NSW were just two points away from a historic upset in Game II, but couldn't quite overcome a hefty first-half deficit.
Discipline in the opening 40 minutes cost them in Perth, so expect Laurie Daley's side to focus on playing clean, simple footy.
If they do that successfully, they have more than enough talent in their team to get the job done.
The last time a decider was played in Sydney (2023), 28 of the 34 total match points were scored in the first half.
Don't be surprised if there is some early action on Wednesday night.
As for tryscorers, keep an eye out for Latrell Mitchell and Stephen Crichton.
Blues wingers have feasted in the previous two games of this series, so there could be opportunities for the centres to pounce.
BEST BET: NSW to lead after 20 mins ($1.89)
VALUE BET: Latrell Mitchell and Stephen Crichton to combine for 3+ tries ($11.00)
SAME GAME MULTI: Stephen Crichton to score 2+ tries / NSW to lead after 10 mins / NSW 9+ HT margin ($32.00)
Latrell to be let loose on Queensland
- Tom Naghten
It's rare to see Latrell Mitchell go a State of Origin game without putting his stamp on it.
While the South Sydney man has had little flashes of brilliance so far in the series, he is yet to truly take the game by the scruff of the neck like only he can.
We're expecting that to change on Wednesday night, with the Blues finally to wise up and get some early ball to their strike weapons on the edge.
With a full camp under their belts, Nathan Cleary and Jarome Luai should be able to recapture the spark that led them to so much success at the Panthers and steer New South Wales to victory.
However, with so much on the line, we're expecting a tight, low-scoring first half before things open up later on.
BEST BET: First half points under 21.5 ($1.84)
VALUE BET: Latrell Mitchell to score 2+ tries ($6.00)
SAME GAME MULTI: Latrell Mitchell anytime try / Cameron Munster anytime try ($10.00)
