One of Australia’s most recognisable female sports stars is the latest high-profile name linked to the proposed breakaway rugby union competition, R360.
The rebel tournament has already started to target players of some of rugby league’s biggest male names, including Kalyn Ponga (Knights), Ryan Papenhuyzen (Storm), Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (Warriors), Zac Lomax (Eels), Herbie Farnworth (Dolphins), and Nelson Asofa-Solomona (Storm).
While R360 has yet to officially launch, the concept is ambitious, aiming to sign top-tier talent on lucrative deals for a new global competition.
Set to debut in September next year, the proposed league would feature 12 franchises, 300 players, and matches played in 16 premium venues across Europe.

As reported by The Daily Telegraph, Jessica Sergis has become the first NRLW player associated with the rebel movement, with R360 reportedly planning to launch a women’s competition alongside its men’s format.
Currently playing for the Sydney Roosters in the NRLW, the 27-year-old Sergis is widely regarded as one of the elite players in women’s rugby league.
A representative of both New South Wales and Australia, she has long been one of the faces of the women's game.
