Payne Haas has been the subject of much intrigue over the past few months as he hurtles towards being free to negotiate with other clubs on November 1.
The Brisbane prop has been in stellar form for an inconsistent Broncos outfit so far this season and will command a hefty pay packet from whichever club he ends up signing for.
However, despite rumoured interest mounting from the likes of the Perth Bears, Haas has reiterated his desire to remain at Red Hill.

Payne Haas comments on Broncos future from inside NSW camp
"I want to be a Bronco for life," Haas declared ahead of starring for New South Wales in Game II.
"I love Brisbane and so does my family. We’ll be doing all we can to strike a deal. But I’ll let my agent and the Broncos sort that out. They’re still in dialogue."
Haas last inked a contract extension with Brisbane in 2023, when he signed for a further two years. That lucrative deal carried him through until the end of the 2026 campaign.
However, major changes have occurred in the NRL since that agreement, with the new Perth franchise set to shake up the player market later this year and offer substantial wages to lure stars west.
Haas’ future was already in question but was placed under the spotlight even further when his management included him on a list of their players who are set to hit the open market.
However, this move was immediately cleared up by the 25-year-old’s agent, Ahmad Merhi, who revealed it was simply standard procedure to send a client list of soon-to-be off-contract players to all NRL clubs.
"It is a refresher and reminder to clubs that these players are with us and they need to speak to us in relation to any of those players when the time is right," Merhi told AAP.
"We are not talking to clubs about Payne and we are not having discussions with any of them.
"At this current stage, we are not striking (any deal). We are waiting until the season is over and then we will go into heavy negotiations. Payne is a Bronco. He has always been a Bronco."
This sentiment was echoed by Haas himself while stationed in the Blues’ camp.
Although he did admit that he couldn’t be completely confident he would remain with the club due to the rapidly changing nature of the game.
"I would obviously love to stay in Brisbane but you never know because it’s rugby league," Haas stated.
"As we’ve seen in the past couple of months, you never know what’s going to happen. I love the state but I’m not 100 per cent sure. So, we’ll see what happens."
