The St George Illawarra Dragons are continuing to invest in their long-term future, with rising dual-code talent Jackson Yeates set to join the club from the Manly Sea Eagles system on a three-year deal.

Zero Tackle has reported that the talented dummy-half and dual-code athlete is on the verge of signing with the Dragons, following a challenging, injury-plagued stint that hindered his progress at Manly.

In the midst of finishing his final year of high school, Yeates is expected to kick off his journey with the Dragons in next year’s Under-19s SG Ball Cup squad, before advancing through the club’s development pathway.

A former Sydney Roosters junior, Yeates has already made a name for himself in elite development, helping to lead his Harold Matthews Cup side to the 2024 finals alongside standout teammates Rex Bassingthwaighte, Lachlan Metcalfe, and Eddy Cayless.

Yeates’ signing is the latest in a series of strategic moves by the Dragons to secure emerging talent early.

This the long-term commitment to dynamic fullback Olive Burton through to the end of 2028, and the arrival of twins Alexander and Cornelius Pupualii from the Penrith Panthers.
