NRL Judiciary Round 5: The full charge sheet as the NRL's high shot crackdown claims first victims image

In the first game following the NRL's crackdown on high tackles, three players were charged for separate incidents.

Meanwhile, yet more suspensions have landed following a wild Saturday night with Gold Coast captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui one of three Titans players charged, while a Brisbane Broncos player has also landed in hot water.

The Sporting News compiles this week's Judiciary report.

Bulldogs vs. Knights: Four players cited

The Bulldogs recorded an ultra-impressive 20-0 win over Newcastle to cap off round five on Sunday evening.

Two players from each side found themselves on the charge sheet.

Knights Adam Elliott and Phoenix Crossland have accepted fines, as have Jacob Preston and Kurt Mann from the Bulldogs.

Sea Eagles vs. Storm: Corey Waddell suspended

While Sunday's clash wasn't exactly a repeat of the infamous 'Battle of Brookvale', Manly forward Corey Waddell still found himself in hot water following the 48-24 defeat to Melbourne.

A lazy high shot late in the game on Tyran Wishart has seen him charged with a grade two careless high tackle.

He'll miss two matches with an early guilty plea as Manly play the Sharks and Dragons during this period.

Broncos vs. Tigers: Brendan Piakura sidelined

Brisbane backrower Brendan Piakura will spend two games on the sidelines after copping a grade two careless high tackle charge during his side's win over the Wests Tigers.

Piakura was sent to the sin-bin for the incident which flattened Tigers prop Terrell May in the first half of the match.

The forward wasn't the only Broncos player to be cited though with Kotoni Staggs also drawing a charge for tripping which has landed him a $1,000 fine with an early guilty plea.

Titans vs. Dolphins: Tino Fa'asuamaleaui one of three Titans charged

Titans skipper Tino Fa'asuamaleaui will spend one week out of the side after being charged for his high tackle on Felise Kaufusi.

The lock was sent to the sin-bin for the incident that happened during the opening exchanges of his side's clash against the Dolphins.

He wasn't the only Titans player to come under scrutiny from the Match Review Committee, with Beau Fermor and Jaimin Jolliffe being handed fines for their indiscretions.

Meanwhile, Dolphins forward Ray Stone has been issued with a grade two careless high tackle charge on Fermor which will see him sit out for one week.

Panthers vs. Cowboys: Reece Robson avoids ban

Reece Robson followed in the footsteps of Hudson Young as he was also marched to the bin for a high shot during North Queensland’s clash with Penrith.

The Cowboys hooker was sent for 10 by referee Peter Gough after the Bunker had reviewed his tackle on Daine Laurie.

The fullback was met by Sam McIntyre in the line and slipped down ever so slightly causing Robson to smack him across the jaw with his forearm.

The Cowboys hooker copped a fine for the incident, while Izack Tago avoided a sanction altogether despite being sent to the sin-bin for a high tackle during the game.

Raiders vs. Sharks: Three players charged for high tackles

Following an entertaining clash between the Raiders and Sharks on Thursday night, three players have been fined for high tackles.

Young ($1,800), Sebastian Kris ($1,000) and Billy Burns ($1,000) will all be free to play next week with early guilty pleas.

Young was the only player to be sin-binned for his offence at GIO Stadium.
