The most talked about moment of the NRL this round came during the Panthers win over the Titans, when Penrith trainer Corey Bocking controversially ran across the path of Jayden Campbell before a conversion.

Campbell ultimately missed the kick, and the Titans would go on to lose the game in golden point, leading to a $50,000 fine and a five-game suspension for Bocking.

Following the game, NRL goal-kicking virtuoso Darryl Halligan offered up some advice to the Gold Coast halfback.

Darryl Halligan has offered advice to Jayden Campbell, after a controversial moment saw him miss a crucial conversion in round 22.

Speaking to the Wide World of Sports, Halligan said that the issue came from Campbell stopping his momentum.

"That was his mistake - he stopped," Halligan said.

"I can't blame him because I probably would have done the same too in such a bizarre moment - but thinking about it later, as difficult as it would have been to keep his concentration, Jayden should have kept his rhythm and taken the shot at goal.

"Why? Because if he kicked the goal then happy days and if he missed, the ref would surely have given him another shot. It's win-win, but that is with the benefit of hindsight.

"It was a strange situation for sure, but that is what I took out of it."

Campbell's missed conversion saw the Titans lead remain at just two points, leading to a clutch Nathan Cleary two-point field goal to take the game to golden point, before Blaize Talagi crossed over for the game-winning try.
