All eyes were on the Bulldogs and the Wests Tigers this past weekend, as controversial young star Lachlan Galvin took on his old side for the first time.

While the game provided the expected fireworks, including a shock upset win for the men in orange and black, the moment of the game came at the conclusion of the match, where Galvin and his former halves partner Jarome Luai seemed to bury the hatchet.

But according to one NRL expert, the moment may have been less a genuine attempt at resolution and more for the TV cameras.

Buzz Rothfield has slammed Jarome Lua and Lachlan Galvin's post-game hug, saying that he does not believe there was any real sentiment behind the action.

Instead, he claimed that the hug between the two star players after the game was all for show.

"Oh, please. You know what. They could see a TV camera there," Rothfield said during NRL 360.

"That was a PR hug for the cameras. Look at it. Of course it is.

"There is a deep, set, dislike and you know there is."

The Wests Tigers claimed a small piece of revenge on the Bulldogs for poaching their rising star, as they downed the title contenders by 14 points in a surprising boil over.
