The Manly Sea Eagles are under a lot of pressure from top to bottom, especially with recent rumours regarding the long term plans for the organisation.
Recent reports suggest the Sea Eagles have a succession plan involving Michael Ennis, the former NRL player and coach.
Ennis, who is a current staff member under head coach Anthony Seibold, clarified his stance during an appearance on NRL 360 on Tuesday night.
The former dummy half expressed appreciation for Seibold's mentorship, highlighting the coach’s significant role in his coaching development.

“If I’m being honest with you, and please take this in the right way, it’s inappropriate to be having those discussions (around a succession plan),” Ennis said.
“Anthony has hired me. He’s given me an opportunity to coach at Manly," he continued.
Not only has he done that, he’s given me great trust to coach there, in the roles that I’ve got there," Ennis deeply reflected.
Ennis also shared insights into his coaching journey, and the experiences he's gained as a result of joining Seibold's staff.
"He gave me an opportunity to go and spend time with (coach) Chris Scott from Geelong (in the AFL) over the summer, spent a week over with (Super Rugby team) the Canterbury Crusaders," Ennis stated.
