NSW Blues coach Laurie Daley is reportedly 'privately furious' at the decision-making in Origin II - led by referee Ashley Klein.
At half-time, the Blues were down 8-0 in the penalty count and that even extended to 9-0 early in the second half.
The final penalty count was 10-2 in Queensland's favour as they levelled the series 1-1 with a 26-24 victory at Optus Stadium in Perth.
While Daley refused to comment on the officiating publicly, veteran journalist Buzz Rothfield spoke for the NSW boss on NRL 360.

Apparently Daley chose not to criticise Klein and his refereeing performance to avoid a fine and the appearance of being a poor loser.
“Laurie will look at the video and find out what he wants to talk to the NRL about and then take it to adjudication,” Rothfield said.
“He was furious after the game. Privately furious, but he knows he can’t come out and say anything. Not just for the fine, but because it’ll look like poor sportsmanship.”
However, NSW league personality Matty Johns was disappointed with the state targeting the officiating during the game.
Johns believes that the Blues were unruly during the match and that's what led to the lopsided penalty count.
“Us New South Welshman, most people will point to that and go look at that, but I tell you what, we were f***ing undisciplined,” Johns said on Backstage with Cooper and Matty Johns.
“That’s it. Don’t blame the referee. We were undisciplined.”
The Origin III decider will be played at Accor Stadium on Wednesday, July 9.
