James Fisher-Harris injury: Latest news, updates for New Zealand Warriors forward image

The Warriors will be without star recruit James Fisher-Harris for at least a month.

He exited the field with a pectoral issue just 10 minutes into New Zealand's Sunday afternoon clash with Melbourne.

Fisher-Harris sustained the injury while trying to tackle Storm winger Xavier Coates.

The club has now confirmed he will miss four to six weeks.

While the exact extent of his injury hasn't been revealed, his recovery timeline indicates he suffered a moderate pec strain.

He has crucially avoided a full rupture, which would require surgery and three months on the sideline.

Still, the 29-year-old's injury comes as a major blow for the Warriors, who have enjoyed a strong campaign thus far.

Since Fisher-Harris' arrival from Penrith, the side have won three of their five games, placing them sixth on the ladder.

Jackson Ford has come in at prop for Round 7, while Bunty Afoa will also be given minutes.
