It is being reported by Nine News Danny Weidler that Manly have concerns for Jake Trbojevic after he suffered his third concussion in the past four months in the round 23 match against the Raiders.
Trbojevic left the field just before halftime in the Riaders match after a heavy collision and did not return, also missing last round’s loss to the Wests Tigers due to the NRL’s 11-day stand-down policy under concussion protocols.

The Sea Eagles have not publicly made a statement yet, but it is understood that recent concussion issues are a driving factor behind their preference to rest Jake Trbojevic for the remainder of the 2025 season according to Weidler's report.
The 30-year-old has been the heartbeat of the Sea Eagles for over a decade, playing 241 NRL matches, 19 State of Origin games for New South Wales, and 13 appearances for Australia.

His tireless defence and leadership will be sorely missed as Manly attempt to restore pride in the final rounds of what has been a disappointing season.

The Sea Eagles remain a heavy long shot mathematical chance of making the top eight, but it is highly unlikely, with the Silvertails needing multiple results to go their way across the last three rounds.
Trbojevic’s rest could be viewed as Manly conceding their season, though there is no doubt that for such a respected clubman, his long-term health is paramount.
Another looming question as Manly’s season winds down is whether Trbojevic will be available for Kangaroos selection later this year if he is stood down and rested.
New coach Kevin Walters will be looking to rebuild the side following Payne Haas’ recent defection to Samoa and the team being short on experienced middle forwards, with Walters known to favour veterans like Trbojevic.
While a decision to rest him is a setback for Manly’s immediate prospects to compete in the remaining games if it indeed happens, the reality is the Sea Eagles have little to play for, and risking Jake Trbojevic’s health in a lost season makes little sense.
