Melbourne Storm superstar Jahrome Hughes has publicly addressed his NRL future.

The Dally M-winning halfback revealed his preferred destination as he approaches the final stages of his current contract.

Hughes played a key role in Melbourne's recent grand final run, and is reportedly on the radar of several clubs.

During an appearance on The Run Home with Joel and Fletch, Hughes made his intentions clear about where he wants to continue playing beyond the 2026 NRL season.

"I'm pretty keen to stay where I am and hope we can get something done real soon. There was chat that I was going to market, but I love it down here in Melbourne,” he said.

After a stellar season capped with individual honours and team success, Hughes’ desire to remain with the Storm comes as no surprise.

However, re-signing the New Zealand international won’t come cheap, as the Storm also look to secure new deals for fellow Queensland Maroons stars Harry Grant and Xavier Coates.

Melbourne Storm have until November 1 to re-sign the 30-year-old halfback before he officially becomes available to negotiate with rival NRL clubs.
