Golden Boot winner inks contract extension with the Roosters image

The Sydney Roosters have made a major retention play, securing the future of one of the best players in the NRLW.

Tarryn Aiken, the reigning Golden Boot winner, will extend her stay with the tri-colours through the end of the 2027 season.

Aiken was instrumental in the side's 2024 premiership campaign and will now look to build on what has already been a stellar start to her career.

In a statement released by the club, the 25-year-old playmaker expressed her excitement about the new deal.

"I'm incredibly proud to extend my time with the Sydney Roosters," she said.

"I absolutely love this Club and this team; it’s felt like home since day one.

"The culture, the people, and the way we push each other to be better every day – it’s really special and I’m excited about what the future holds."

After a successful campaign at the helm for New South Wales in the Women's State of Origin series, Roosters coach John Strange spoke about Aiken, who gave the Blues a lot of trouble over the three games.

"Tarryn is an exceptional talent and a genuine competitor," he said.

"She brings professionalism, leadership and a winning mindset to everything she does.

"We’re thrilled to have her re-commit to the Club, and we’re confident she will remain a driving force in our future success."
