Sydney Roosters winger Dominic Young was given his marching orders during his team's Friday night match with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
His send-off only added to a difficult first half for the Tricolours, where they conceded four tries.
Star fullback James Tedesco and young half Sam Walker also exited the field moments earlier, both suffering head knocks.

Why was Dom Young sent off? Roosters winger penalised for high tackle vs. Bulldogs
Young was sent from the field just 26 minutes into the Roosters' clash with the Bulldogs at Accor Stadium.
The Englishman collected Canterbury fullback Blake Taaffe high with a swinging arm, with Grant Atkins deciding to send him off, rather than issue a 10-minute sin bin.
Young's shirt ripped was then ripped following an on-field scuffle.

Young became the first Roosters player to be sent off since Nathan Brown last season.
Taaffe departed the field to undergo a head injury assessment after the incident and did not return.
Despite playing with 12 men for the majority of the game, the Roosters gave the Bulldogs a real scare, nearly snatching a stunning comeback win.
They powered back to make it 26-20, but Matt Burton scored a crucial try for the home team to extend their advantage, with the Bulldogs ultimately taking home the points in a 30-26 win.
