Cameron Munster says the Storm's golden-point loss to the Raiders on Sunday night was a "tough pill to swallow".
Melbourne led for the majority of the match before an impressive Kaeo Weekes solo-try tied things up late.
Back-to-back penalties then afforded Canberra a shot on goal to secure a 20-18 victory in extra time.
Munster, the Storm's stand-in captain, admitted post-match that the team's discipline cost them the match.

Last year's grand finalists conceded nine penalties to their opponents' six.
On two occasions, they were on the wrong end of the whistle while in possession, with the likes of Stefano Utoikamanu and Trent Loiero punished for indiscretions.
"I can’t remember the last time a team got penalised with the ball, but in saying that, we played some dumb footy tonight,” Munster said.
"As much as it looked like it was in the hands of the ref, we have to be disciplined with the ball.
"We have some learnings, but it’s a tough pill to swallow.
"We can’t afford to keep doing it."

Storm coach Craig Bellamy was particularly disappointed in Utoikamanu and Loiero giving the ball away via penalties close to the Raiders' try-line.
A high tackle from the latter notably gave the Raiders a penalty shot in golden point.
"I don’t know who was the instigator ... at the end of the day, you can’t be giving the ball away in those positions," Bellamy said.
"I only had a look at it once, so I’m not exactly sure what happened, but to turn the ball over 15 metres from their line ... if he was in the wrong, he needs to pick his discipline up.
"It’s unlike anyone. You show me a bloke who gives away two players who give the ball away in the game. You’re not looking at too many people. It doesn’t happen often."
