Billy Slater has taken charge of Queensland for his fourth term in the 2025 State of Origin series.
The legendary former fullback took over from Kevin Walters and has, by and large, impressed in the coaching box on the big stage.
After losing last year's series and going down 1-0 in this year's edition, Slater managed to mastermind a stunning reversal to reclaim the shield.

What is Billy Slater’s Origin coaching record with the QLD Maroons?
Slater has won seven of his 12 games as the QLD coach, with his side going down to the Blues in the 2025 opener on home soil, before responding with a gritty win in Perth and then sealing the series with a win in enemy territory.
The 41-year-old coached the Maroons for the first time in Game I of the 2022 series. And he got off to a winning start against Brad Fittler’s outfit with a 16-10 reversal in Sydney.
However, his side were then on the receiving end of a hiding at Optus Stadium as the Blues romped to a 44-12 victory to level the series.
Slater managed to pick his team up off the canvas though as QLD recovered from the heavy defeat to claim the shield with a 22-12 result on home soil.
At Adelaide Oval, the Maroons got the chocolates during the 2023 opener, before they wrapped up the series with a match to spare thanks to a comfortable 32-6 win. NSW responded in the dead-rubber though to fend off the whitewash.
Michael Maguire took over from Fittler following the second series loss in a row for the Blues and the premiership-winning coach proved to be a difficult opponent for Slater.
After the Maroons kicked off the 2024 series with a 38-10 win in Sydney, things quickly turned sour for the state.
QLD copped a battering in Game II before they went on to lose the decider on their home soil for the first time since 2005.

Slater has won three Origin series during his time as the state's head coach, with these victories arriving in 2022, 2023 and 2025.
