Benji Marshall didn't get his dream Wests Tigers farewell after injury ended his night early against Parramatta.
The club legend who has been told he won't be offered a contract for next year succumbed to knee and rib injuries early in the Saturday night fixture at Bankwest Stadium.
Marshall was tackled in 17th minute, going down awkwardly over his left knee, as well as wearing a shot to the head.

He was taken off for a HIA but looked ginger on his knee as he made his way off the field.
The 35-year-old was cleared of a concussion but the knee injury, a suspected MCL sprain, and some potentially broken ribs ended his night and club career on a sour note.
Worst case: complete MCL tear & 10weeks.

Marshall will depart as the greatest player in the joint venture's history, having played 257 first-grade games for the Tigers since making his debut as a schoolkid in 2003.
The Tigers confirmed earlier this month the 2005 premiership star would not be retained beyond 2020, leaving his future up in the air.
Marshall himself is keen to play on and reportedly has several potential suitors, though with no decision from the NRL on squad sizes for next season, the player movement market is uncertain.
Meanwhile, another Tigers fan favourite and long-time club servant Chris Lawrence also played his last game, retiring after 253 games.
The Tigers weren't able to send out the departing pair winners, going down in a tight contest, 28-24.
Three tries in 12 minutes after half-time put them in front, before Reed Mahoney and Will Smith sealed the nervy win for Parramatta.
The Eels secured fourth place and a qualifying final meeting away to Melbourne, while the Roosters will travel to Penrith in week one of the finals.
